Will you buy or can I trade in my old furniture?
We do not buy or allow you to trade in your furniture for several reasons. For example, it must be restorable and be what we need at the time; it must be the correct quality we are after and it must be the right price to justify restoring. This is why we prefer to choose our stock ourselves from around the country.
Do you restore people’s furniture for them?
No. This is because we are a small team and are very busy restoring our own furniture to keep the shop full of exciting new items.
Do you deliver?
We do deliver and you can find our delivery information on the delivery menu at the top of the page or a brief delivery summary in each items description which is tailored to that specific item.
Can I collect furniture myself or by my own courier?
Yes! Most of our items are ready to go and members of our team will assist you with putting items into a car, van etc. You can have items collected via courier; we will photograph the items condition when it leaves as we are not liable to any damage that may occur on transit.
Do you offer painted furniture?
We do not paint any of our furniture. This is because we go for high quality furniture and painting over something high quality is a waste of a good piece of furniture in our eyes.
I don’t like the colour/material on the chair pads can this be changed?
Yes! Most of our chairs seats pads can be reupholstered to a colour/material of your providing or choice. This service is for anyone who has bought or is buying a table and chair set from us only and is generally priced at £10 per pad if you provide your own material or £15 per pad if you choose to select a material from our selection.
I like multiple items but their colours don’t match, can this be changed?
Yes! We can change colours and make items match where possible but this depends on the items and this is an extra charge which is priced based on the time and work involved.
I’m not ready for delivery, can you hold items until I am ready?
Yes, but this is an in-store purchase service only! With knowing every item is a one off with us it’s important to not hesitate when you see the right item as someone else could buy it. With this in mind, if you see the item, you want but aren’t ready for it, we can hold it for you until you are ready.
I’ve damaged my item I bought off you, can you fix it?
Most minor damage such as marks and scratches can be mended by you at home! If you send us a picture of the damage on Facebook or to our email info@therestoredfurnitureplace.co.uk or if you’re local, come in store with a photo and we can advise you on how to repair them. In extreme cases of major damage if you bring the item to us, we can try repair it but there may be a cost depending on the damage and time involved.
Do you take deposits to reserve items?
No, we do not take deposits; due to everything being a one off it is first come first serve. In cases when you’re travelling from a far to view an item, do let us know and we will keep the item for you to view for that day.
Do you sell beds and mattresses?
No, we do not there are so many different types of beds and mattresses we simply would not have room.
Can you source a specific item for me?
We try to provide as large a choice as possible with the shop changing weekly but if you still don’t see what you’re after there’s no harm in letting us know and we’ll see if it is something we can assist with sourcing for you.
