About the Sideboard
This large sideboard provides an excellent amount of practical storage, combining 4 useful drawers with 2 cupboard doors.
The drawers are ideal for cutlery, paperwork, table linen and smaller household essentials, while the large cupboards provide generous concealed storage for crockery, glassware, serving dishes and other larger items.
A fixed shelf is in the middle of each of the cupboards, helping to divide the substantial interior and make better use of the available space.
The combination of oak construction, raised door panels and substantial decorative hinges gives this piece far more character than most modern alternatives. New oak furniture offering comparable construction and craftsmanship can be extremely expensive today, making this an excellent opportunity to own a substantial and highly practical sideboard.
Professionally Restored by Us
Like all of our restored furniture, using our 40+ years’ experience in restoration this sideboard has been professionally restored by us to bring it back to a condition we’re proud to sell.
This sideboard was something of a hidden gem in our warehouse, having been overlooked for restoration due to its very dark, thick old finish. Once we finally realised it could be stripped back to a beautiful lighter oak we brought it into our workshop and stripped it all. We then refinished it in a warm Honey Briwax, bringing out the natural grain and character of the wood. The transformation has been fantastic, and we think it has become one of the nicest sideboards we currently have in stock.
Notes
The sideboard is all one piece and requires no assembly.
