About the Dining Set
The biggest advantage of this set is the combination of compact proportions and useful extension space. In its smaller form, the round table is ideal for everyday dining without unnecessarily dominating the room.
When additional tabletop space is needed, the extension leaf can be added to increase the size of the table. Better still, the leaf stores neatly inside the table when it isn’t required, so there is nothing separate to find storage for elsewhere in the home.
The set accommodates up to 4 people and comes complete with 4 French solid oak thin ladderback chairs with black padded seats, giving the set an attractive and slightly more refined appearance.
For smaller kitchens and dining rooms, this offers an excellent balance between space-saving practicality and the quality of proper solid oak furniture. Comparable new solid wood dining furniture of this quality can be very expensive today.
Professionally Restored by Us
Like all of our restored furniture, using our 40+ years’ experience in restoration this table and chairs has been professionally restored by us to bring it back to a condition we’re proud to sell.
This particular table and chairs has had its old finish carefully removed by hand before being professionally refinished with a Honey Briwax; bringing out the beautiful natural grain and character of the wood. The seat pads were also professionally reupholstered in a brand-new black fabric, giving the chairs a fresh and attractive finish.
Notes
You may notice that the extending leaf is slightly lighter in places than the rest of the table. This is simply because the previous owner kept the leaf stored away, meaning it has had less exposure over time. We don’t feel it detracts from the set, but we always like to point out details like this so you know exactly what to expect and can be completely happy with your purchase.
For easier delivery and access into your home, the table legs can be conveniently removed and reattached once in position.
