This dining set was manufactured by a renowned French furniture maker known for producing some of the finest furniture available.
This is an excellent dining set for anyone wanting high-quality solid oak furniture without a large footprint. The slim fixed table comfortably accommodates 4 people for everyday dining, with room for up to 6 at a push when additional seating is needed.
A particularly useful feature is the built-in drawer, providing convenient storage for cutlery, placemats, coasters and other everyday dining essentials.
The fixed construction keeps the table strong and sturdy, with no extension mechanisms or separate leaves to worry about. It comes complete with 4 matching French distressed solid oak ladderback chairs with traditional rush seats.
The characteristic French distressing includes deliberately applied simulated woodworm, scratches, marks and dents, giving the oak the appearance of naturally aged furniture and adding plenty of individual character.
Furniture of this calibre and solid oak construction is increasingly difficult to find, and comparable new furniture can be very expensive today.

Like all of our restored furniture, using our 40+ years’ experience in restoration this table and chairs has been professionally restored by us to bring it back to a condition we’re proud to sell.
This particular table and chairs has had its old finish carefully removed by hand before being professionally refinished with a Dark Oak Briwax; bringing out the beautiful natural grain and character of the wood.
Notes
For delivery, the tabletop can be unscrewed from the leg frame if required. However, thanks to the table’s relatively slim proportions, it should fit into most homes fully assembled.
