About the Dining Set
The standout feature of this set is undoubtedly the 2 matching solid oak benches. They create a relaxed and sociable alternative to conventional dining chairs and work particularly well with the rustic character of the French oak table.
The table comfortably accommodates up to 4 people, making this an excellent everyday dining set for a couple or smaller family. The benches can also be pushed neatly alongside the table when not required, helping to keep the dining area tidy.
There is also a useful built-in drawer, providing convenient storage for cutlery, placemats, coasters and other everyday dining essentials.
The table is fixed rather than extending, keeping the construction strong and straightforward with no extension mechanisms or separate leaves to worry about.
The characteristic French distressing includes deliberately applied details such as simulated woodworm, scratches, marks and dents, giving the set the appearance of naturally aged furniture and adding plenty of individual character.
With the table and both benches made from exceptional quality solid oak, comparable new dining furniture of this calibre can be very expensive today.
Professionally Restored by Us
Like all of our restored furniture, using our 40+ years’ experience in restoration this table and benches has been professionally restored by us to bring it back to a condition we’re proud to sell.
This particular table and benches has had its old finish carefully removed by hand before being professionally refinished with a Dark Oak Briwax; bringing out the beautiful natural grain and character of the wood.
Notes
For delivery, the tabletop can be unscrewed from the leg frame if required. However, thanks to the table’s relatively slim proportions, it should fit into most homes fully assembled.
